Citrus Serenade was painted in honor of summer while my soul desperately longed for autumn. My hope was to capture and savor these last moments of summer even though internally, I find myself saying, "autumn cannot come soon enough."
This watercolor painting print depicts a vibrant orange fruit hanging from its branch. The orange is painted in saturated oranges and yellows, with shadows of deep red and hints of turquoise. The leaves, painted with delicate lines and brushstrokes, reflect back some of the orange hues from the juicy fruit hanging below. The orange pops against the cobalt turquoise background. Looking at the painting, you can almost feel the bumpy skin and smell the sweet aroma wafting from the painting. The overall effect is a beautiful and serene representation of summer.
