Buteo Jamaicensis -Red-Tailed Hawk
Growing up, one of my grandparents had a bird feeder right outside a window by their kitchen island. I fondly remember sitting and watching the countless number of birds that would visit and asking my grandparents about the ones I didn't recognize. These fond memories are what sparked my creation of my Field Notes Series, which is expanding one piece at a time. Where we live, the Red-Tailed Hawk is common sight for us to see.

Fun fact: While these birds are known for their rich brown colors above with their pale, streaked bellies below and their cinnamon red tails, there is actually a wide variation in color based on the region the bird is from.
